Historical Comparisons
We were able to obtain more historical data, and provide a better approach to the question wether corruption increased or decreased in some countries.
We also provide the sources of the years 1980-1992.
Conclusions concerning time trends should be based on the comparison between the 1996 score and the historical data. Comparisons with the 1995 ranking may be less precise!!
